Hail To The Dark

Hail to the dark
That fed my flame
Evoking hunger
Thirst for knowledge

Its spirits kept me up cold and pale
Led me through the wastelands of time
Guided by the moon's spell
Haunted by the mysteries

Hail to the dark
And the dancing candleflame
Casting shadows upon my walls
Father of the mind, lord of chaos

They come to me at night
Distorting my senses
And carry me away
Towards the blackened fields

This is a sad journey
Towards the kingdom of stars
With ever-changing time
No wonder we feel so lost
As lives go out like candleflames
Suddenly, one by one.
